Homeland Security
DHS, with its requirement to secure the .gov domain, has specified a need for more secure network protocols and more usable security solutions. In addition, DHS is concerned about protecting the country’s infrastructure - including isolating power generation SCADA networks from malicious hackers.
Cyber security compliance and network configuration management are becoming increasingly complex and difficult to maintain. Network masking provides a way for government agencies to secure their networks without increasing management and operational cost and complexity. Highly distributed networks also present perimeter and sub-net security challenges that are addressed by network masking, enabling government agencies to avoid having to make a trade-off of security for expediency during times of crisis.
