Network Operation and Compatibility

The Masking Shunt MS-100SC employs several proprietary techniques to mask devices while remaining invisible itself. It processes only address-related information without changing the data content part of the packet. The Masking Shunt MS-100SC:

1. Installs in-line with a firewall, critical host or other devices it is masking.
2. Dynamically generates proxy MAC addresses and ARP responses.
3. Operates at the electrical signal level with virtually no latency.
4. Does not have a MAC address and is not detectable on the network.
5. Is compatible with encrypted communication – does not process encrypted packet content.
6. Is compatible with IPv4 and IPv6.
